This place offers hands down the best chicken burger in Helsinki. What started as a small food truck touring the city has now grown into a popular chain, founded by the talented and humble Michelin starred chef Kim Mikkola. I’m thrilled they’ve opened a branch in the Otaniemi area, adding much-needed variety to our local food scene, which has been somewhat limited.

My absolute favorite is the HOT Honey Burger the sweet, savory combination of honey perfectly complements the crispy chicken, with just the right hint of chili for a flavorful kick. It’s a mouthwatering experience that hits all the right notes.

The service is also commendable, with staff always ready to offer recommendations and explain the menu. They’ve recently introduced mozzarella and nacho bites, which are definitely worth a try crispy, cheesy, and a great side to their already excellent burgers.

The quality has really gone down, not just this branch but the whole franchise. The lemon pepper and honey sauce are both tasteless now. Prices also went up, while the portion size went demure.
They used to be heaven sent.

I love chicken burger. The taste was decent, I was expecting more as I was recommended to try this. The original nuggets for kids are terribly hot. I can only taste the chili powder and as a person who grew up eating spicy food, I found it spicy; not to mention for kids. There are original nuggets and hot nuggets to choose from. Naturally, we thought that original is the non-spicy type. I went to ask from the staff, they said it is spicy with spice and chili powder. The product description should be clearer. We adults end up eating them so that it is not wasted.

I ordered original nuggets (as opposed to spicy) but they were still very hot 🔥 if you are after non-spicy nuggets this place is not for you. The fries were nice and crispy but unfortunately super salty, I couldn't finish my portion because of all the salt 😔

Hampurilainen oli keskinkertainen. Pienempi kuin hesen kerroshampurilainen. Ranskalaiset ok, mutta ketsupista joutuu maksamaan lisää 1.5€. Ketsuppipurkki pieni, ei riitä kuin viidelle ranskalaiselle. Ateria maksoi 14,50 eli pippuripihvin hintainen. Palvelua ei ollenkaan ruuat tilataan automaateista ja haetaan kusisesta vanerikopista. Ruuat tarjotaan paperipussissa, vaikka syö paikanpäällä. Muiden arvosteluiden perusteella kana on joskus ollut raakaa. Ruokamyrkytyksiä on myös tapahtunut. En yhtään ihmettele, kun pienessä kopissa aivastellaan. Eli tiivistettynä paska paikka en voi suositella kenellekään.

Their lemmonpepper burger is really great! I recommend it 100%. For the chicken wings it’s a little bit saltier than the last time I ordered here, but usually I order Kotkot from Helsinki area. But overall, great food, especially the burgers, it’s a little bit difficult to find the parking space if you’re using google maps, so I recommend going to the other side of the building a little bit in front of Fat Lizard and you can see the passage way to the parking spaces at the back of the building.

Food's okay, but not worth the price, especially considering the small portion size. They only do takeout even though they have tables. So prepare to rip the bag and make your own improvised tray. Music is too loud and way too gangsta for my taste.

Kotkot is a brilliant place to eat. I ordered and ate there many times. The burgers are cheap and very tasty. Juicy meat, spicy sauces and brilliant chicken. The wings were crunchy but a little bit expensive (6x 6€). However they are worth the price! The fries are nothing special. Just regular fries.

The service: They are a great and hardworking team but a little bit slow. Like once it took them 1h30min to get my order finished. However they are only three persons and also very kind. Because once they forget to add fries to my order and as an apology, they added (of course my fries) and a complimentary kot.original burger to my bag.
Shotout to the nice lady at the counter! You made my day even better :D.
